Father’s Day
Godffirmation is a prophetic ministry, God-blog and God-brand, sharing affirmation & confirmation based on the scripture.
Scripture: Matthew 6:8
Father’s Day is a national celebration in the United States. Abraham is a forefather mentioned in the bible. The book of Genesis has a detailed story about him. Abraham even made it into the hall of faith in Hebrews. Abraham is such a prominent figure in the bible and he is a prophet. Abraham and Isaac have a father son relationship. Abraham communicated with God.
Each of us have a father son or father daughter relationship with the Lord as his servants. Our perspective of God the Father can be established by our intake of his holy word. Do you have a healthy point of view of God as your Father in heaven? You may need a little time to pause and think about it. Sometimes we need to stop and listen for God’s voice to give us direction.
Our method of communication with God is prayer. We seek God’s face and sometimes His hand through prayer, reading the word and meditating on His word. He communicates with us through His word and through Holy Spirit filled individuals.
The Lord’s prayer is a pattern of prayer. We can use it to create a prayer method for our lives. It starts off, Our Father and continues down to the topic of forgiveness. In the natural it is difficult to ask someone that does not like or love us for something. This vantage point can co-mingle with our point of view of God. Some people think God does not care or that God does not love them because of their circumstances. At times like this, we may have forgotten the part we played in the decisions that led to this day.
God is not so far away that he cannot hear us or be involved in our lives. It is up to us to invite Him. Open the door in your life that has been closed to God. He knows anyway, but be honest with yourself and Him about your point of view. You may began to hear Him more clearly (Isaiah 59).
Don’t be like the religious leaders of the bible who only do things for show. Be real. Be you. Be authentic. This is the only way you can get through this time and season. God can answer you.
