I’m Adopted!

When we think of the word adoption, what comes to mind is a child who lives with a family that signed paperwork to be their parent. It is a legal action and the parents give the child a permanent home. I do know of two or three families that have chosen to adopt children and raise them. The reason behind why is not an issue, I do know they and the children were very happy with the pleasant circumstance.

This is usually viewed as a very caring action. Whenever a child is adopted, he or she is selected. In Christ we are selected for use or in other words, adopted. We become sons and daughters. We get treated like this by our Father, God. Sometimes we are disobedient children and we need to be disciplined. God will chasten you and even included the story of the prodigal son in the scriptures.

Also, after adoption we must adapt. Adapt means to make (something) suitable for a new use or purpose; modify. So if you feel like somethings are changing, it is because you are in Christ now. He wants us to operate and perform like the new creation we become in Him.
