Psalm 25:4-5 KJV

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Shew Me Thy Ways

Sometimes when we are driving, we get lost. There are applications on cell phones and Google that can give us directions. All we have to do is type or speak into the cell phone microphone. These days the instructions are reliable. There was a time though when the directions were hard to understand. I remember an instance when the car navigator led us to the blue belt to go to a nearby town in Ohio. We were looking at the highway but riding on a dirt road. When we arrived at our destination we found out that we were not late because the event was not starting on time! As technology advances, the instructions are better, now you can get on the spot directions from Waze but a construction zone might still be missed. Everyone needs to follow directions to get to the proper destination.

When we ask God for directions, sometimes we get confused. The bible is our roadmap. Much like the paper maps you could get from AAA or print out from online direction services. Unlike the paper maps which did not account for construction at times, the bible has instructions that can give us clarity. The instructions can also lead us in the right direction and give us a better chance at getting ahead in life. The map that we have is the lead and has the ideas that can guide us, direct us and lead us safely to the end point of our journey. It does not matter what season we are in, God can reveal something to you in His word! This is how He shows us His ways.

God’s ways will lead us in the path of righteousness, like David wrote in the 23rd Psalm. Some people even ask God to show up and show out. Since we do have a map, we can use it. We do not have to wander around, looking, seeking, asking and inquiring of the wrong things to get assistance. We have access to an all-knowing and all-wise God. God is love and is willing to assist us. We have to tap in and ask Him.

His truth is our guide, Truth makes us free. Truth can cause us to see what we were blinded to in days behind us. We need somethings to be revealed to us and only God can do that. The truth is, the truth is what we can trust because it has already been tried and tested.

Living life with lies is only a hinderance. Walking in truth can lead to a more prosperous life. We have access to all things that pertain to life and godliness if we tap in to truth. Knowing this, we can move forward full steam ahead.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, reveal the truth to us today. I need the knowledge in Your word to apply to my life. This truth that has been hidden will give us freedom. Thank You for answering my question that will help dispel my doubts and propel me to a higher level of closeness to You.

Amen
