INCREASE
Growth is a term that is associated with becoming more or larger in some area of your life. There are specialist that help with personal growth. It is something that many want to attain in life by gaining more knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Personal growth helps us to live better lives when it is something that leads to maturity whether it is naturally or spiritually. Another term for growth is personal development.
Self improvement is a term that is thrown around in society and it is usually associated with the natural man. But, you can grow spiritually. You can do what Jesus did “wax strong” and increase in wisdom. He waxed strong in spirit (Luke 1:80). Improvement is always good because it leads to better living.
“But grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ”
2nd Peter 3:18
Grow up or in other words increase is the time that we are in. Think about a farmer or gardener that is trying to grow a particular crop. You need to cultivate the land, water it and sometimes the soil needs to change in order for growth to occur. There is equipment that farmers and gardeners use like a hoe or a tiller.
Land has to be prepared for crops and we have to be prepared by God. What are you being prepared for? John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus (John 3:30). A few things take place when growth happens.
Increase
Christ will increase in you. Allow the God in you to big and get bigger. It will be a witness to those around you.
Decrease
You will decrease (your own will, selfish desires, etc.)
You get out of your own way
Enlarged
At one time the “Jabez” scripture was popular (1st Chronicles 4:10 read it!). Your territory can be enlarged (big again)
Blessed
It is a blessing to grow! You will get better & better in Christ.
