Think About It

True Thoughts

Godffirmation

Philippians 4:8

Finally, my brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, whatsoever things have virtue or if there is anything praiseworthy, think on these things.

Have you been lying to yourself?  Pay attention to the thoughts of your heart and your inward man.  Sometimes we lie to ourselves, and these ideas are projected upon others. Peel back the layers and write your confessional.  There may be a lie that you have been perpetuating in your life that has you stalled in that season.  The lie may be something that sounds good or even a smooth saying that makes you feel comfortable but ask yourself is this true.

(Take out a notebook or a piece of paper and write down that lie)

Whatever you have been telling yourself has to be measured by the Word of God.  If it does not line up with the scriptures, it is not truth.  For example, God told you to do (………).  You tell yourself, “I can’t do that, I am not ready.”  This is lying to yourself.  God told you to do (…….).  If God told you to do it, He has a plan for you to complete the tasks!  It is time to be obedient to God’s directives and instructions.

At this time, God has allowed you to be alone with your thoughts so He can deal with you.  It will prepare you for what’s next, this is often a concern for people.  Do what is NOW and do the instructions you have been given.  Think on these things!  The true thing that you think about is necessary and filled with more details than you can possibly imagine.  The two or three sentence word God gave you is a point to ponder.

Wondering when, why and how are also improper patterns of thinking.  Ask God to send the people He wants to help, impart His wisdom into your spirit for the season and increase your discerning of spirits to distinguish Peter from Judas (research that!). Peter had qualities to speak and preach the kingdom when Judas was one who would betray.  You need to know the difference!   Don’t try to pray the Peters in your life away.

(Take a notebook out and write down the scripture to use for prayer against the lie)

The time for you to complete your tasks will be allotted by God.  He wants you to war with that word He has given you.  He wants you to represent the Kingdom of God in ways that will amaze you and those around you.  The truth is “all that is good and perfect” comes from the Father of Lights!
