Have you been waiting on a blessing?

Maybe the blessing arrived and you missed it because it came in an unexpected package. Sometimes we contemplate and wonder about things that have not arrived.

Ask yourself a few things.  They are listed below.  Feel free to come up with your own list.

1. Who was it?

   • A person or an experience with someone

2. What was it?

   • A circumstance

3. Where did it take place?

   • In my current living space

4. When did it take place?

   • In my past or my present state

5. Why was I not aware of it?

   • I did not recognize it

Sometimes you need to ask these questions.  They can lead you on the trail to find out what you may have missed.  A blessing can be in a disguise.  If our perspective of a blessing is not correct, we can miss it. 

To make happy is a definition of blessing.  A blessing is also known as a pronouncement.  What if your blessing was an expression of happiness for you?  If you do not believe it, look it up for yourself.  For years I would hear people say “I don’t want to miss my blessing”, oftentimes I do not think people associated it with the word happiness. 

 I knew the definition of the word blessing because, I looked it up to see what it meant.  Years ago, an English teacher taught the class I was in to keep a dictionary nearby when we read a book.  She guaranteed that there would be a couple of words in the literature that we were not familiar with.  So why not continue this habit when I read the bible? I did and in the long run it has helped me!

Help yourself out and look for the blessings in everyday!
