Forgive Us

Godffirmation: godly affirmation and confirmation based on the scriptures

Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors

Matthew 6:12

FORGIVE US

Forgiveness, a topic of choice for people worldwide especially when a transgression has been committed.   However, if someone has done you wrong people have stipulations that they want to apply making their situation unique.  Forgiveness is reciprocated.

PLEASE FORGIVE ME                                                I FORGIVE YOU

Forgiveness is given and forgiveness is received.  It is a part of life.  At one time or another someone is going to do to something to you and it will require your forgiveness.  At some point in your life you may want to ask someone to forgive you.  There is a debt that needs to be paid.

DEFINITION:

Debts: To fall short in righteous living is to become a debtor.

a.       This is a moral definition.  We are aware of the monetary definition for owing someone something.   Owing something to someone when it is monetary can cause the loss of relationship with people we love.  Unless you asked if you could be given the money leading to the assumption that you do not have to pay it back.  When we come to the Lord, we are unable to payback the debt that was paid for us.  Someone offending you should be forgiven swiftly.  If necessary it should be worked out with a counselor because of the possibility of triggers sending a person spiraling into a negative mindset and behaviors.

Forgive: to give up resentment or claim to requital on account of (an offense or wrong); to remit the penalty of; to pardon; said in reference to the act forgiven

Is there someone that you need to forgive?  If you do not forgive your brother or sister, you are at risk for not being forgiven by God. (Matthew 6:14-15)  Forgiving a person that has offended or wronged you can help you and free you!

Your Sister in Christ,
