Life and Peace

Godffirmation:

Godly affirmation and godly confirmation based on the scriptures

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be

spiritually minded is life and peace

Romans 8:6

Have you ever positioned yourself to do something for the Lord and got side tracked?  Your thoughts focused on something other than the scripture you intended to mediate on.  Carnal means fleshly.  Our fleshly lust or desires creep in at the most inopportune times.  But we were forewarned by Romans 8:6 that it leads to death.  Carnally minded is having a thought pattern that leads to behaviors that are considered sin.  Romans also has the scripture that states “the wages of sin is death.”  At some point, we will reap what we have sown if we act on carnal desires that do not please God.

 CAN WE PLEASE GOD?

We can please God.  When we do we can have peace (Proverbs 16:7).  Life can be easier when we please the Lord.  Being spiritually minded brings two things:

1.       Life

2.       Peace

Who gives us life?  Jesus (John 10:10) gives us life and He gives it in abundance.  The word abundant means plentiful, in great quantity.  The devil wants to steal, kill and destroy your life.  Since we have the word, we can use it to tell ourselves what God says.  We do not have to listen to that negative voice that speaks against the scriptures.

LIFE AND PEACE FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL MINDEDNESS

Why is life important?  Life is not only for you but for your family, friends, acquaintances, co-workers and others that you interact with.  Your life has an effect on you and everything around you.  Living life to the fullest as a servant of the Lord can have a God-pleasing blessing for you!  Some of you do not know that living well spiritually has influenced people in the natural.  Some people may not ever share how your living testimony was a picture of strength and helped them with a struggle that they had.  This is a gentle reminder today to not take living well for granted.

It is not just about having more than enough in a material sense. An abundant life can effect an abundance of others. This does not mean overextending yourself to look like a saint. Do not throw your Christ like identity to the side to identify with a worldy point of view of good living. Keep things in perspective and choose the Lord’s side. Ask God for His point of view, it may be very different than what you are thinking. Believe God will show you ways and areas of your life that can be pleasing to the heavenly Father. It is usually a lot more simpler than we can imagine. Too many times we come up with a host of excuses to replace the thing that God wants us to do. It is time out for that and time to truly allow your heavenly Father, Jehovah Jireh to provide you with the things to be His tool on the Earth.

Are you at peace with the position you are in right now?

Did you ask God to give you peace in your current situation?

Remember Jesus is the Prince of Peace. You do not need to continue to worry about things present or things to come. Live your life in God’s will, think on things that are of Him and seek peace, pursue it! Life and peace are a reward for your spiritual mindedness.

Psalm 34:14-15 KJV - Depart from evil and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
