Momentum

The equation P=M x V is the second law of motion discovered by Sir Isaac Newton. Momentum defined is mass in motion and is used in the science physics. It is also defined by a force or speed of movement. You can gain or lose momentum when you are in motion. If you are stuck, you are not moving at all and there is no momentum involved.

Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? The tortoise did not move as swiftly as the hare, but it kept its pace until the end of the race. Picture momentum in these terms especially if you are not a runner, race car driver or anyone that has a fast paced pep in your step.

Time is moving and we can make the most of the time we have. There is something that can be done in the 24 hours all of us have. We go through each day expressing this attitude and making attempts to fulfill any commitment we have scheduled for the day. We have time do things we plan for in our calendars and schedules.

Most often, we have to make time to use time wisely. That is what the tortoise did in the Aesop fable. Unfortunately the hare did not do that, he slept on the tortoise. The tortoise won the race though, because he kept moving.

If you feel like the tortoise, keep moving that is momentum. Momentum is equal to mass multiplied by velocity. The hare acted impulsively and made an assumption that he would win the race no matter what he did because he was faster then the tortoise. You cannot move swiftly if you are asleep. Make outcome based decisions and not assumption based decisions. Weigh those decisions based on God’s word.
